These two tourist centres are located on the Arona and Adeje coasts respectively.
In the municipality of Adeje there are many different popular urbanizations such as Playa del Duque, Fańabé, Torviscas, San Eugenio and the original centre of Playa de las Américas, with first class hotels and shopping centres.
A number of improvements to the coast have gradually added different sand beaches such as Torviscas and Bobo. The Torviscas area also hosts the popular market on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Puerto Colón www.puertocolon.com can be found at San Eugenio urbanization. It is a popular sport harbour from where different maritime excursions for pleasure and fishing set off. The harbour has berths for over 364 vessels, Club Nautico with a restaurant, bar, tennis courts and sailing school and a small attractive beach. Surrounded by a commercial centre with excellent bars and international restaurants makes this a perfect place to watch the yachts whilst taking a cocktail or two!
Very close by to the Jardín Tropical hotel, a beautiful five–level terrace with gardens and a 600 m2 wide and 90m long swimming pool, Las Rocas, can be found. It belongs to the hotel, there is an entrance fee and it also has a comfortable restaurant.
The next beach is Bobo beach. It has a windsurfing and sailing school where sailboards, sailing crafts and catamarans can be hired.
The climate here is dry and very sunny most part of the year; Precaution and protection against sun exposure is therefore important.
