At only 5 kilometres from Playa de las Américas, Golf Costa Adeje opened in 1998 with the ambition to become an important leisure complex in Tenerife.
The first 18 holes of the 27 in the course, take up a surface area of 800.000 square metres. The designer is Pepe Gancedo, whose prestigious brand is featured in other golf courses across Europe and America. The philosophy of this architect is to build courses adapting to the existing land and taking into consideration the environment and local vegetation.
This philosophy is noticeable in Costa Adeje, with the street layout perfectly adjusting to the natural shapes of the landscape. More than half a million of square metres of stone walls from old terraces have been restaured and the greens have been strategically distributed across the course, which offers spectacular views of the sea, La Gomeraisland, Playa de las Américas and the Adeje mountains.
The greens are generally extensive. The itinerary, structured in the same number of pars 3, 4 and 5, starts with a long par 5 of 510 metres. The 18th hole is also a par 5, of 500 metres. The course (par 72) has a total itinerary of 6330 metres
